It is an excellent resource for professional and amateur investors.
The Business Valuation Model for Excel is an "out-of-the-box" professional
valuation model developed by a CFA charterholder. It is designed to accept
information from publicly-available 10-K reports in order to calculate the total
and per-share value of a business. The model includes a basic and common-size
income statement and balance sheet, an easy-to-use cost of equity and WACC
calculator, a detailed ratio analysis and a comprehensive discounted cash flow
(DCF) analysis. Cells requiring user input are clearly highlighted, making
valuations very easy to perform.
The Real Estate Valuation Tool for Excel calculates and analyzes expected cash
flows from one or more real estate investments. It can be used to evaluate a
single real estate investment or to compare one property to another. Rather than
relying on subjective market factors as you might if you were looking to pay the
lowest price for your primary residence, the Real Estate Valuation Tool for
Excel values the discounted cash flows generated by the property. This is an
excellent way to compare one investment property to another.
The Loan Calculator for Excel is a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet designed for
quick and easy analysis of the effect of a loan's terms on the borrower's
payment obligations. The spreadsheet is fully-customizable and easy-to-use.
Simply enter the principal amount, interest rate, payment frequency and the term
(length) of the loan and a payment table is automatically generated. The table
automatically calculates and shows the breakdown of each payment between
principal and interest and displays a running total of the balance that will be
owed after each payment. It can accommodate loans with up to 1,000 payment periods
and users may enter extra payments in any payment period.
The Fed Valuation Model for Excel contains the "Fed Valuation Model," long used
by the Federal Reserve Board of Governors to measure stock market over- or
under-valuation. The spreadsheet is pre-loaded with data from 1988 through the
most recent quarter-end and contains room for additional data and/or estimates
through 2025. This is a great way to recognize trends in the value of the stock
market.
Date and number fields in all of the included spreadsheets may be re-formatted
by the user (using Excel's built-in formatting capabilities) to accommodate
non-US conventions.
