The Personal Finance Value Pack for Excel contains three of our best-selling
products: The
Loan Calculator for
Excel, the
Monthly Home Budget Worksheet for Excel and the
Checkbook Register for Excel.
It is an excellent resource for managing your finances.
The Loan Calculator for Excel is a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet designed for
quick and easy analysis of the effect of a loan's terms on the borrower's
payment obligations. The spreadsheet is fully-customizable and easy-to-use.
Simply enter the principal amount, interest rate, payment frequency and the term
(length) of the loan and a payment table is automatically generated. The table
automatically calculates and shows the breakdown of each payment between
principal and interest and displays a running total of the balance that will be
owed after each payment. It can accommodate loans with up to 1,000 payment periods
and users may enter extra payments in any payment period.
The Monthly Home Budget Worksheet for Excel consists of a Budget Planner,
Transaction Ledger (with drop-down boxes for easy category selection), Dashboard
(Chart View and Table View), and Monthly Detail Reports for each month's budget.
The currency and date formats are easily changed using drop-down boxes at the
top of the page. In addition, specially-designed buttons and hyperlinks are
positioned throughout the workbook to make navigation as easy as possible. The
spreadsheet is very easy to use. Simply enter your budget amounts in the Budget
Planner then enter your transactions as they occur. The dashboards and monthly
detail reports update automatically.
A great feature in the Table View Dashboard and the monthly detail reports is
visual alerts. When your income falls short or your expenses exceed your budget,
the cell for that month and category turns red. If you are within your budgeted
parameters, the cell is green. This allows you to view problem areas quickly
without having to dig deep into the reports.
The Checkbook Register for Excel is perfect for anyone who needs a simple,
easy-to-use spreadsheet for recording pending, cleared and cancelled checks.
Color-coded status fields indicate each check's status, making it easy to view
the status of your checks at a glance.
