The Fed Valuation Model for Excel contains the "Fed Valuation Model," long used
by the Federal Reserve Board of Governors to measure stock market over- or
under-valuation.
The spreadsheet is pre-loaded with data from 1988 through the most recent
quarter-end and contains room for additional data and/or estimates through 2025.
The model is flexible and easy-to-use. Simply enter the report date and a
presentation-quality report and chart are automatically generated, displaying
the current stock market valuation and the valuations for the nine previous
quarter-end dates. This is a great way to recognize trends in the value of the
stock market.
Hyperlinks to data sources are included so
that you may update the model as time progresses.
Date and
number fields may be re-formatted by the user (using Excel's built-in formatting
capabilities) to accommodate non-US conventions.
The Fed Valuation Model for Excel is an excellent tool for
determining the over- or under-valuation of the stock market based on the Fed
Model. It provides a detailed valuation while remaining flexible and
easy-to-use.
This spreadsheet was developed by a CFA charterholder.
