This is the Lite Edition of the Monthly Home
Budget Worksheet for Excel. It allows you to manage your budget for all of 2010.
The Standard Edition, which includes the ability to manage up to three years of
budgets will be available in late-February 2010 for an anticipated price of $29.99 USD.
The Monthly Home Budget Worksheet for Excel (Lite Edition) is a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet
designed to help you manage your budget and view a complete picture of your
financial condition in Microsoft Excel.
The spreadsheet consists of a Budget Planner, Transaction Ledger (with drop-down
boxes for easy category selection), Dashboard (Chart View and Table View), and
Monthly Detail Reports for each month's budget.
The currency and date formats are easily changed using drop-down boxes at the
top of the page. In addition, specially-designed buttons and hyperlinks are
positioned throughout the workbook to make navigation as easy as possible.
The spreadsheet is very easy to use. Simply enter your budget amounts in the
Budget Planner then enter your transactions as they occur. The dashboards and
monthly detail reports update automatically.
A great feature in the Table View Dashboard and the monthly detail reports is
visual alerts. When your income falls short or your expenses exceed your budget,
the cell for that month and category turns red. If you are within your budgeted
parameters, the cell is green. This allows you to view problem areas quickly
without having to dig deep into the reports.
The Monthly Home Budget Worksheet for Excel is a quick and easy way to create,
manage and stick to your budget using Microsoft Excel.
This spreadsheet was designed by a CFA charterholder.
The Monthly Home Budget Worksheet for Excel requires Excel 2003 or 2007 to run.
It is fully compatible with Microsoft Windows 7, Windows Vista and Windows XP.
You may also use the software on a Mac if you are running Windows XP or
Vista and Excel 2003 or 2007 on Parallels or VMWare Fusion. It will not work
with Excel for Mac.
